As of today, May 19, many businesses and organizations have been provided the green light from the Government of Ontario to move forward with in-person services, as they are able, as part of the first phase of reopening Ontario. CMHA Elgin is included in this list of organizations that are able to begin the process of reopening to the public.
As an organization, CMHA Elgin has taken much care and consideration in adjusting our service delivery model to operate online or via telephone. Through this entire process, the integrity of our services, as well as the safety of our staff, clients and the community have been our top priority. As we begin to navigate our return to offering face-to-face services, our priorities remain the same.
While some businesses and organizations will begin opening their doors today, Tuesday, May 19, CMHA Elgin will continue to offer phone and virtual services.
We are in the process of developing policies and procedures, obtaining additional protective equipment, as well as creating the appropriate spaces to deliver services in a face-to-face setting. We are actively working on a gradual return to in-person services, as they are appropriate, safe and manageable for our staff, participants, and the community.
CMHA Elgin will continue to share announcements regarding changes to services through our website and CMHA Elgin Facebook, as they are available.
