Court Support / Diversion

We provide advocacy and case coordination services to people aged 16 or older living in St. Thomas or Elgin County who have been charged with a criminal offense and who have serious mental illness, concurrent disorders, developmental disabilities, or brain injuries.

Depending on the individual’s circumstances and the approval of the Court, services will be provided either through our Court Support program or through the more formal Court Diversion program.

Our workers offer support directly at attendances at court, and will work collaboratively with the participant, the courts, lawyers, probation, income assistance providers, and anyone else whose involvement is important to recovery.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 4:30PM. Additional support is available through our Crisis Outreach team.
